Data centre and cloud services provider Proact can now offer its industry-leading transformation and support services to all UK public sector organisations after being included in the UK Government’s Technology Services 2 framework. This multi-year Pan Government Collaborative Agreement, available for use by all UK public sector bodies, became available on 6th September.
Technology Services 2 is managed by Crown Commercial Service (CCS), which supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
Proact successfully obtained a place on all lots it entered for: Technology Strategy and Services Design, Transition and Transformation, Operational Services (End User Services, Operational Management Services, Technical Management, and Application and Data Management) and Programmes and Large Projects classified at the Official Security Level.
Technology Services 2 will deliver local, regional and national technology services and aims to be the preferred customer route to market for sourcing Technology Services and Transformational Support, in-line with Government policy and strategy. The framework, which will run for a maximum of four years, will see a range of IT services and support delivered to the UK public sector, offering flexible routes to market and ensuring “value for money” for public sector organisations. The framework is estimated to be worth between £1billion and £3billion over its term and to save the public sector around £180m.
Underpinned by Proact’s customer-centric approach, public sector organisations across the UK will be able to benefit from Proact’s 20+ years’ experience when it comes to successfully delivering IT services that help reduce costs for taxpayers and support the drive to Digital Government.
Under the framework, Proact will offer a wide range of professional, support and managed services. These services will support public sector organisations in a variety of ways such as providing detailed reviews of customers’ environments to help develop their future IT strategy, and implementing new services, architectures or processes in-line with their services strategy. Proact can also provide assistance with the provisioning of the various complex services, processes and tools required to manage the optimisation of capacity, performance, security and availability of organisations’ private, public or hybrid technology environments - all delivered at the right quality and at competitive costs.
Jason Clark, CEO and President at Proact, says: “We are delighted to have been included within the Technology Services 2 framework which adds further depth to our public sector business. We’re continuing to develop our commitment to supporting organisations across the public sector, helping them tackle their complex challenges and achieve the innovation that’s required in today’s digital world.
“The combination of our specialist public sector team, that covers the whole of mainland UK, and Proact's world-class technology and transformation services which are available via this new pan government collaborative agreement, we are ideally placed to support all UK public sector organisations with their digital journeys. Ultimately we offer flexible, affordable and quality services and solutions that will now be provided to public services in a more effective, more efficient way offering better value to the taxpayer.”
