04 July 2017 - Data centre and cloud services provider Proact announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Storage Competency status. This designation recognises that Proact provides proven technology and implementation services to help customers to successfully achieve their storage goals on AWS.
Achieving AWS Storage Competency status establishes Proact as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that possess deep domain expertise in one or more of the following core storage categories – Backup & Recovery, Primary Storage, Archive, or Business Continuance/Disaster Recovery (BCDR), having developed innovative technology and solutions that leverage AWS services. To receive this designation, APN Partners must possess deep AWS expertise and deliver solutions seamlessly on AWS.
Jason Clark, CEO and President at Proact, says: “Proact is proud to become part of this group, cementing our expertise in the storage field. As an APN member, we’re looking forward to utilising our advanced body of knowledge, helping our customers realise the true flexibility, security and efficiency that AWS can provide.”
The AWS Cloud is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from start-ups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Partner Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
In alignment with IT service delivery trends, Proact aims to transform archaic storage processes, helping organisations rethink how they deploy storage by creating versatile environments that can meet key challenges, such as capacity and data protection. Proact’s storage services on AWS can help customers adopt a unified architecture, delivering platforms for storage and data protection in a cost-effective way while making best use of AWS services.
With certified AWS architects based across Europe, Proact not only has the ability to design and implement multi-cloud storage ecosystems, but can use technology from numerous partners including VMware, Commvault, Zerto, Veeam and NetApp, enabling a hybrid approach to enterprise service delivery.
